30 Apr 2006 - Burwell Bus
The old Burwell Bus has arrived at the museum where it will now stay permanently.
It is parked next to the Resources Building covered with tarpaulin sheets (more or less where the new building will go). It will stay there until the new building is constructed. It is highly unlikely that the bus will ever leave the Museum site as the Road Tax and MOT have expired and the bus is now registered as being kept off the road.
The sheets may be taken off the bus very occasionally to enable visitors to see it properly.
We still need lots of money to build a dedicated building for the bus - please see the earlier "News" item (19th April) about the bus for information.
